Avaliação dos Pacientes com Tumor de Células Gigantes Tenossinovial no Punho e Mão

Os tumores de células gigantes (TCG) de bainha sinovial são o segundo tipo de tumor mão comum nas mãos. Apresentam prevalência em mulheres de meia idade, e detalhes sobre sua taxa de recidiva permanecem incertos. O objetivo deste estudo é avaliar a prevalência dos TCG e sua recidiva referente ao acometimento das margens nas biópsias. Métodos: estudo retrospectivo avaliando 48 pacientes com TCG submetidos ao tratamento cirúrgico por excisão. Resultados: 70% destes pacientes, 66% no membro superior direito e taxa de recidiva de 8,3%, com uma tendência (p=0,074) para margens acometidas. Conclusão: apesar do comprometimento das margens serem um fator que caracteriza sua recidiva, mais estudos são necessários para determinar outros fatores associados.
