Uma Revisão Atualizada do Cementoblastoma Mandibular e Relato de Caso

O objetivo deste estudo é descrever um caso de cementoblastoma mandibular tratado por excisão cirúrgica associada à extração do dente envolvido associado à revisão da literatura em inglês de todos os casos de cementeoblastoma mandibular disponível no PubMed/Medline entre janeiro de 1955 e maio de 2022. Este estudo demonstrou que o cementoblastoma mandibular é a maior parte do sexo feminino, com idade entre a terceira e a quarta décadas de vida com predileção para a região mandibular do corpo associada a reduzir os primeiros molares. O tratamento mais comum foi a excisão cirúrgica com ou sem extração do dente envolvido. Embora existam outras terapias descritas como apicectomia, tratamento endodôntico e ressecção associados ou não à reconstrução óssea. Cementoblastoma é uma lesão incomum, mas quando presente, está mais associado à mandíbula. Portanto, é interessante conhecer a região mandibular mais comumente envolvida e os tipos de tratamentos, bem como o perfil dos pacientes mais comumente afetados.
