Diagnóstico de querubismo: relato de caso de lesão rara em mulher
Resumo
Querubismo é uma doença autossômica dominante que se manifesta na infância pela tumefação bilateral dos ângulos mandibulares e às vezes maxila, deixando transparecer a esclerótica, o que confere ao paciente o aspecto de querubim da arte renascentista. É fortemente prevalente no sexo masculino, com apenas alguns casos descritosem mulheres. Comonão existe tratamento específico, a conduta do profissional deve ser orientadora, no sentido de que o paciente possa conviver com o problema sem envolvimento psicológico secundário até a idade adulta, quando se espera uma involução espontânea das lesões ósseas.Descritores: Querubismo; Doenças Ósseas; Osso e Ossos.
