Included tooth consists of an abnormality in which the prolonged retention of a certain dental element occurs, preventing its appearance in the dental arch, which can be diagnosed due to the absence of eruption. Its etiology may be related to local, systemic causes and syndromes. The aim of this study is to report a clinical case of canine traction surgery included in the maxilla, as well as to highlight the importance of the diagnostic and treatment steps. A 17-year-old male, pheoderma patient attended the dental clinic of Nilton Lins University and was referred for canine traction surgery included. The patient presented a panoramic X-ray examination, where he showed the presence of the permanent impacted canine and the computed tomography showed the location, in the palatal region, with no abnormalities. The orthodontic traction surgery was performed, after finishing the bonding of the orthodontic button, interpapillary synthesis with resorbable archwire was performed. There was no intercurrence in the transoperative, after 7 days the patient returned to postoperative control, where an occlusal radiograph was performed, showing the tooth with the orthodontic traction accessory in correct and functional positions, suitable for biomechanical activation. Therefore, the orthodontic traction surgery was satisfactory without complications or complications, presenting a good healing process, making continuity of orthodontic treatment feasible. At the present time the patient is under follow-up.
