Avulsión Dental: ¿Cuál es la Mejor Método/la Mejor Estrategia de Informar a los Padres sobre este Problema?

Introducción: El manejo correcto de un diente avulsionado es crucial para el éxito del tratamiento. Objetivo: Evaluar la mejor estrategia didáctica (charla, folleto y pancarta) para padres/tutores sobre avulsión dental y conducta urgente. Metodología: La población de este estudio estuvo conformada por padres o tutores de niños de 6 a 9 años de tres colegios privados. Primero, se aplicó un cuestionario para verificar el conocimiento de los participantes del estudio sobre la avulsión dental. Posteriormente, en cada escuela se llevó a cabo una estrategia de enseñanza. A los 30 días se volvió a aplicar el mismo cuestionario. Para el análisis estadístico se compararon las proporciones de X e Y (p ≤ 0.05). Resultados: La charla resultó inviable por ausencia de los padres / tutores, en el evento previamente programado. Sin embargo, esto no prueba que sea ineficaz. Se encontró conocimiento satisfactorio acerca del tema abordado después de leer la pancarta y el folleto, sin diferencia estadística entre ambos. Con respecto al mejor medio de almacenamiento para el diente avulsionado, la pancarta fue estadísticamente más efectiva que el folleto (p < 0.05). Conclusión: La pancarta y el folleto son capaces de transmitir información, a los padres / tutores, sobre cómo actuar ante una avulsión dental. Por lo tanto, individuos legos sobre la atención después de un trauma con avulsión dental, pueden volverse más aptos cuando tienen nociones básicas.
